Nimble VR is raising funds for Nimble Sense: Bring Your Hands into Virtual Reality & Beyond on Kickstarter Nimble Sense is a breakthrough depth sensing camera that captures your hands for VR input. In October, we launched a Kickstarter with the goal of introducing robust skeletal hand tracking to provide the simple experience of having hands in VR. ago Kickstarter can be a good platform even for funded companies to launch these days. Our work started off with color gloves, evolved into markerless tracking with multiple Kinect cameras, and eventually led to the development of our own tiny 3D camera, the Nimble Sense, that could be mounted on an Oculus Rift. Nimble, the worlds first device that uses artificial intelligence to self-paint and dry nails in 10 minutes per hand, also launched a Kickstarter campaign. We felt that with advances in 3D camera technology and the backgrounds of our team, we could finally tackle the hard computer vision and human-computer interaction problems that stood in the way of gesture recognition in the past.
